One of the many lessons Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim shares with Jung Su Won warriors is “Celebrate Every Living Breath as if it were your last.” How many of us have this view, this attitude about life? We never know when our last breath will be? I have found that whether things are going great or maybe a bit challenging, being able to celebrate and give thanks for each breath has brought incredible joy into my life.

The more I radiate the joy and celebration, the more I can also pass this onto others. Maybe that driver just cut me off. Rather then generate negative thoughts and send a pissed off attitude toward that driver, I can take a higher view. Realizing that I may of unknowingly done the same thing. Maybe they didn’t see me, or whatever the reason. I can say ‘thank you’ for helping me keep my awareness up, for giving me a chance to send thoughts of your having a beautiful day.

When is the last time I said thank you to a store clerk? Or called someone I love and expressed how much they mean to me? The recent event of Flight 447 and 228 lives that were suddenly taken. No opportunity to express to those they loved. The loved ones left behind and what they must be going through. We may never have the answers of what truly happened. It makes me appreciate so much more my life and each breath.

The world is so full of hate and violence these days. Teenagers committing suicide. Family members killing one another. Parents ending an entire family existence because they are lost, in financial trouble. Everywhere you turn there is violence, hate, greed, self serving attitudes, power, lust. Those who think only of I, of Me.

Being able to train at Jung Su Won with Great Grandmaster Kim is an honor and I feel compelled to share. I not only have my own experience, but watching other students no matter how young or old and the challenges they face and overcome while training. Parents who have children training, and find they become more focused, more disciplined. The families who train together. Great Grandmaster had a Parent night a couple months ago. One of the fathers who two young sons, chose to join. To see that changes in the father and sons. To hear the father express and his acknowledgement of how valuable the training, the environment is and wanting to share with other parents, to get them to join.

I invite you to experience other blogs and videos and learn about Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim and the art of Jung Su Won. May you be blessed and find the encouragement to go after your dreams. To celebrate every living breath!

Training at Jung Su Won has been an adventure which started almost 16 years ago, NOV. 5,1992. An adventure that began when I was visiting friends in Spokane and went to a Whole Life Expo. I found myself sitting in the back row of a lecture by a woman named Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim. At the time, I was 39 years in existence. No dreams or goals, only knowing that I wanted to make a difference in the world. But how could I? Working at a major retail store I was promoted quickly from night janitor, to stocking crew, then team leader for night shift, cashier during summer in lawn and garden. However, there was no belief that I could even become a Department manager let alone a Store manager. Sitting there waiting for the lecture to start, the room was full. Someone moved from a front row seat and I found myself moving to the front row. Just like lack of confidence, putting myself front and center is something I would not do.

At the time, the trip was the least expensive way to get away for a couple days, cuase money was not in abundance. Having friends to stay with I figured it would be fun. The thought of spending even more money I didn’t believe I had on Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s book, “Seven Steps to Inner Power” or any of the meditation tapes was a challenge to my senses.

Have you ever heard a voice inside you, tell you to change directions only to find out later, you avoided being in an accident. I felt an inner voice telling me that I was worth it. My negative attitudes and beliefts were already changing even though I would not consciously realize it for a couple months. Having a positive mental attitude is just one aspect that I continue to uncover new meaning and heights with while training at Jung Su Won.

To be continued: How I came to train with Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim.
